Set how oil produced by a subsoil user is measured and weighed: well-by-well accounting in tonnes through group metering units, using verified measuring instruments entered in the state register.
What matters for an oil & gas company
- Oil is accounted for per subsoil area and per well in tonnes; measuring instruments must have a valid verification certificate and be entered in the register of the state system for ensuring uniformity of measurements.
- Direct methods (scales, mass flow meters) and indirect methods (volume-mass, hydrostatic) are allowed; net mass equals gross mass minus ballast (water, chloride salts, mechanical impurities).
- Cover oil quantity and quality measurement systems, backup metering schemes, control of metrological characteristics and arbitration samples.
