Set how applications for a licence for geological study of subsoil (geological survey and geophysical work, groundwater prospecting and evaluation) are filed and considered.
What matters for an oil & gas company
- An application on the approved form with the documents required by Article 86 of the Code is logged with a unique number and the date and time of receipt.
- The authorised body for subsoil study decides within 10 working days, issuing the licence or a reasoned refusal; a refusal may be appealed within 10 working days and the applicant may re-apply.
- Drilling on a geological study area is allowed only for geophysical surveys and groundwater prospecting (Art. 89 of the Code).
