On approval of the Rules for issuing permits for construction on territories where mineral resources occur

Set how a conclusion (permit) is obtained before building settlements, industrial complexes or other facilities on land where minerals occur — confirming that minerals are absent or insignificant, or that construction is acceptable because extraction remains possible or the construction is economically justified.
What matters for an oil & gas company
- The service provider is the regional akimat (or the akimats of Astana, Almaty and Shymkent), acting in agreement with the territorial unit of the authorised body for subsoil study, which assesses whether minerals can still be extracted.
- Applications are filed with an e-signature via the 'Unified Subsoil Use Platform' information system; the service term is 9 working days.
- Construction is allowed where extraction of minerals remains possible or the economic justification of the construction is proven.
