A privately owned petroleum geological exploration research institute in Aktobe. According to the history published by the KazNIGRI institute, it grew out of KazNIGRI's Aktyubinsk branch, formed in January 1964; when the branch became an independent organisation is not established in public sources. The institute has no working website; this profile is compiled from state portals and documents. Public-hearing notices of 2022–2025 name it as developer of exploration projects and their addenda for blocks in Aktobe and Atyrau regions, of technical projects for drilling, reactivation and conservation of wells and of projects for liquidating the consequences of subsoil use, with their environmental sections; documents on state portals also confirm trial production projects for the Sarybulak field for Tarbagatay Munay (2015–2021) and state contracts of 2016–2022 with the West Kazakhstan Interregional Department of Geology. Its testing laboratory is accredited until 30 January 2031 (register of the National Accreditation Centre) for tests of air, water, soil and rock properties; as stated by the organisation in its project documents, it holds licences for the design of mining production and for environmental design.
