Well volumes: tubing, annulus, casing below the tubing
Tubing volume, annulus volume down to the tubing shoe, casing volume from the shoe to the bottom, total fluid volume, the kill fluid volume and the reserve required by the rules.
V_t = π/4 · d_i² · L; V_a = π/4 · (D² − d_o²) · LV_b = π/4 · D² · (H − L)V = V_t + V_a + V_b; V_k = k · VV_w = π/4 · D² · H; V_res = 2 · V_wThe well volume is taken as the production casing volume from surface to bottom. The Kazakhstan industrial safety rules (item 873) require two well volumes of kill fluid at the well before the kill. V_w − V is the tubing steel volume; couplings and surface lines are not included.

You can change a field's unit: the value is converted to the formula's units automatically.
Current plug-back depth, measured.
How many times the fluid volume in the well is pumped — per the job plan, allowing for losses.

Results are engineering estimates from standard formulas; for design decisions check them against the codes, project documents and specialists' calculations. The formulas carried over from the original set are unchanged, and their errors are described in the notes.
