Kentau Transformer Plant (KTZ), founded in 1959 in the city of Kentau, is one of the largest transformer manufacturers in the CIS and part of the Alageum Electric holding. It produces power and measuring transformers and substation equipment, with its product range expanded from about 10 to over 40 varieties since the late 1990s.
